Festival Rules

Rules for the festival area:

  1. All persons over the age of 12 must pay for $10 weekend pass for admittance to the festival grounds.
  2. Family Friendly Pirate Attire Required.
  3. No Real Weapons Allowed!
  4. No Glass, Fireworks, Fighting Or Illegal Substances.
  5. No Profane Language, Lewd, Vulgar Or Disorderly Conduct.
  6. No Under Age (21) Drinking! Proof of age required.
  7. All Alcoholic Beverages Must Be In A Plastic Cup. (No Cans Or Bottles!)
  8. No Coolers Allowed.
  9. No Unauthorized Soliciting.
  10. No Skateboards, Skate Shoes, Roller Blades, Bicycles Or Unauthorized Vehicles On Festival Grounds.
  11. No Radios Or Boom Boxes.
  12. Please Put Litter In Trashcans.
  13. Dogs Must Be On A Leash.
  14. All Children Must Be Accompanied By A Parent Or Legal Guardian.
  15. Not Responsible For Accidents Or Personal Injury.
  16. Not Liable For Loss or Damage To Personal Property.
  17. Festival Organizers Reserve The Right To Refuse Entrance Or Eject Anyone They Deem Creating A Disturbance or Danger To Themselves Or Others.

Readers Choice Award

Tybee Island Pirate Festival won the applause of GEORGIA Magazine readers in the magazine’s 2009 Readers’ Choice Awards contest, as published in its October 2009 issue. In the contest, loyal readers nominated their favorite Georgia people, places and things. Tybee Island Pirate Festival won in the Annual Event category.
