SAVANNAH, GA – Join New York Times bestselling author Mary Kay Andrews on Saturday, May 8 as she
hosts a special pre–Mother’s Day launch party for her latest novel, The Newcomer. The book signing event
will take place from 11 AM–3 PM at Seaside Sisters, located at 1207 Highway 80 East, Tybee Island, Georgia
Andrews will be joined by friend and fellow New York Times bestseller Patti Callahan, author of Surviving
Savannah, for this special event. Guests will enjoy light refreshments and a complimentary swag bag with
their book purchase.
The Newcomer is a fish-out-of-water tale about a woman who may be in over her head following the
suspicious death of her younger sister who left behind a daughter, a “go-bag” full of cash, and a cryptic
message about where to flee in the event of her death. With danger closing in, it’s a race to find the truth and
right the wrongs of the past.
With a charming beach town setting, quirky cast of supporting characters, family drama, murder mystery, hint
of romance and a hardworking, plucky female protagonist you can’t help but root for, The Newcomer has
everything you want in a summer read from the master of the genre.
“Andrews expertly builds the tension (and a sweet romance) while exhibiting her deft hand at developing quirky characters, strong southern women, and charming locations.” —Booklist
