In honor of Earth Day a kayak clean up is scheduled for the marshes and waterways of Fort Pulaski on April 21st. This event is in collaboration with Clean Coast, a Savannah-based 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer organization that works to combat marine debris by holding beach and marsh clean-ups on the Georgia Coast. This event is open to all interested parties with or without a kayak. Individuals with a kayak should report to the entrance of Fort Pulaski at 8:30. Those without a kayak should register in advance. Kayaks are available to those who register on a first come-first served basis. Early registration is encouraged due to a limited number of kayaks available for individuals.
