First formed in 1986, the Tybee Beautification Association is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of Tybee Island. TBA activities include coordination of Beach Sweeps, Adopt-A-Highway clean-ups, Anti-Litter Education, Island-wide Decoration, Education on preservation and nature, Yard of the Month, and planting/maintaining native plants in public areas around Tybee.
To further Tybee’s incredible natural beauty, there is a Tybee Island beach sweep scheduled for March 22, 2014. Tybee Beautification Association, the City of Tybee Island, Surfrider & Barefoot Wine will be partnering to clean up Tybee’s beach. Join them in their efforts to keep Tybee tidy! Volunteers should meet on the Pier and Pavilion at 8am to obtain parking passes, supplies and instructions. Everyone is welcome to participate. The Tybee Beautification Association meets the second Wednesday of every month at 7pm at the Guard House. The meetings are open and all are welcome. Annual dues are only $10.00 per person.
