Tybee Mayor and City Council Need Volunteers!

The Tybee Mayor and Council of Tybee Island are considering applicants for volunteer positions on committees and commissions as listed below:

Tybee’s Audit Committee is seeking new members. The audit committee shall consist of no less than five nor more than seven members appointed by the mayor and council, such appointees being selected on the basis of their knowledge and interest in the financial planning and accounting principles.

The Better Home Town Board has five open positions, each for two year terms.  Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest and resume to the City Clerk by Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Council will appoint new Board of Directors members at the January 26, 2012 City Council meeting.

Coastal Resource Metropolitan Planning Organization Citizen’s Advisory Committee – CORE MPO Citizen’s Advisory Committee – Tybee member.   Additional information on this opening can be found at City Hall, or by clicking here.

Community Resource Committee: To serve three year terms (qualifications are listed in the full notice – click here). Please submit your resume to the City Clerk’s office at City Hall – appointments will continue by Council until vacancies are filled.

Planning Commission: Resumes are being accepted until January 5, 2012 for four openings on the Planning Commission.
