Time to get started on all that holiday shopping and if you want to gift your friends and family with truly unique pieces that will be treasured in the years to come, plan on attending the Tybee November Art Show and Sale this November 2-4 at the Old Tybee School Cafeteria.   This Holiday Themed Show  will feature more than 20 artists in a range of media, plus a silent auction for the Association’s first Artists’ Giving Tree, filled with hand-crafted ornaments.  Proceeds from the auction will be given to a local charity that provides for children during the holidays.  So not only are you purchasing a gift that will become a special part of your Holiday Celebration but you have the opportunity to participate in making a child’s Christmas special.  On sale will be many amazing pieces including glass art, driftwood sculpture, pottery, jewelry, fiber arts, furniture, paintings, prints, stained glass, art quilts, photography, and much more.  Visitors can meet the artists and see demonstrations throughout the show and sale.  The show will be held at the Tybee Old School Cafeteria, on Butler Ave., next to the YMCA. The show will open Friday, Nov. 2, with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m., and continue Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
