Tybee’s Mardi Gras Street Party takes place from 12pm-6pm at the south end of Tybee next to the Tybee Pier and Pavilion. Live music, vendors, and great times.  This event is open to the public and FREE!  A traditional South Carolina Dixieland Band will be playing from 12-3pm and Zydeco favorite Dwight “Black Cat” Carrier will play from 3-6pm.  The party may officially end at 6pm but if you know Tybee it will last well into the night!

Mardi Gras Street Party

Mardi Gras Tybee:
The event will encompass the traditions of Mardi Gras, an event with origins dating back to the ancient Romans and carried on today in cities such as Mobile, Alabama and New Orleans, Louisiana. Mardi Gras is held on the last day before the start of Lent.

Tybee will be dressed in an array of purple, gold, & green flags depicting the Tybee Mardi Gras celebration. Mardi Gras Tybee will include the Mardi Gras Tybee Parade and Street Party featuring free live entertainment & more!
