With over 35 years in the music industry, O’Donoghue remains steadfast in his role as an ambassador of contemporary and traditional Irish folk music. His is the story of old Ireland, infused with the freshness and world influences of a new century, his delivery subtle yet emotional and his attention to lyrical and musical detail is exact.
O’Donoghue performs throughout the U.S. and Ireland with his guitar and his bodhran (Irish hand drum), singing folk songs of the old country at settings from Irish festivals and concerts, conventions, cruise ships, and singer-songwriter showcases.
He’s been called Savannah’s professional Irishman (he hails from the coastal town of Drogheda), his songs telling the story of Ireland past and present.
