Little Women of Orchard House
Our Youth Theatre Ensemble is back with its always popular annual holiday season theatrical production. This year they present Little Women of Orchard House, a drama by David Longest, which takes the classic novel “Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott and expands it into a sweeping historical tale.
The play begins with Louisa May recalling her own childhood and quickly introduces us to the real Alcott sisters and many literary greats who visited Orchard House, their home in Concord, Massachusetts. The story of Little Women is cleverly entwined with the real life of Louis May Alcott. The result brings new insight into the person Louisa May Alcott actually was and showers us with renewed hope in the strength of family bonds and the spirit of love.
The Family Education for Christ ( FEFC) youth theatre group debuted in 2016 at the Post and has staged four previous sold-out productions with a focus on classical literature favorites, including A Christmas Carol and The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe.
Three performances: Nov. 29-30, Dec. 1, 7:30 pm Tickets $15 adults, $7 students
