Three beautiful singer-songwriters from opposite coasts come together on the Tybee Post Theater stage for an incredible night of music.
Our annual headliner, Jill Knight’s soulful sound is unmistakable. A native of Savannah now living in California, her music delivers a southern texture blending Americana, blues and weaving in a little R&B that will take the listener on an unforgettable journey. Voted Best Songwriter on the Central Coast of California, 2018 New Times Music Awards; a finalist at the Telluride Troubadour competition; and a finalist at the National Academy of Songwriters “Songwriter of the Year” competition.
Carly Gibson, an Atlanta-based singer-songwriter, whose solo work is an ethereal escape into R&B and blues as evidenced in solo single entitled “Love Me.” Besides her solo career, Carly is a founder of and tours with the successful Atlanta-based bands Gibson Wilbanks and The Pussywillows; she is also currently a backing vocalist with American funk rock legends Mothers Finest.
Singer, songwriter, producer Diane Durrett’s 2018 album “Diane Durrett & Soul Suga” recorded live at Eddie’s Attic was reviewed as “Killer, high octane soul throughout” and rose to No. 5 on the Soul Blues International RMR. In 2017, she was a Global Peace Song Award winner for “The River Sings” co-written with Melissa Junebug, who plays drums and percussion in Soul Suga and joins the trio on stage tonight. “Soul Suga’ & Diane Durrett” received national & international attention charting in the Top 10 of the Roots Music Report Contemporary Blues chart.
