Tybee City Limits, the Best in Live Local Music, moves back to Saturday nights! And to start the new year off with some sizzle, we’ve got two of the Coastal Empire’s hottest young bands fronted by two amazing singer-songwriters and musicians, Lyn Avenue and Wood and Steel.
Lyn Avenue, a country band bringing a distinct and unforgettable live performance is led by award-winning songwriter and front-woman Cc Witt. Lyn Avenue has been a nominee three consecutive years in the Georgia Music Awards and the Georgia Country Awards. Paired with co-writer Patrick Ellington, Witt’s clever and dynamic lyrics drive a modern country-pop sound deeply rooted in traditional country music. Their latest album, “The Other Side,” has “reinvented southern sound” according to South Magazine.
Savannah’s Wood and Steel is an Americana five piece fronted by Erica Franklin and Wade Holmes and guitar and vocals, and includes Cyril Durant on keyboards, Justin Tuskey on bass and David Murray on drums. The group mixes folk, Americana, soul, rock and original music into eclectic performances that appeal to audiences of any generation.
