There’s only one Polar Plunge in the entire country that occupies a place of honor in the Guinness Book of World Records, and that’s our Tybee’s Polar Plunge! That was 2012 and we had 2,400 folks racing into the surf at high noon. Let’s top that number this year. It’s for a good cause. All the proceeds benefit the non-profit Tybee Post Theater, the island’s historic performing arts and movie venue.

Your registration comes with an official long-sleeve 2018 Tybee Polar Plunge T-shirt. They are collector’s items with a different design every year! And in 2018 our polar bear mascot, Posty, is paddleboarding! A true Tybee bear! Click HERE to register the whole family and select your T-shirt size! Adults, $25, Children, $15.

And it’s not too soon to gather a few fun friends and plan your costumes for the Gang of Goofs Parade and Costume Contest! You’ll parade before an esteemed panel of celebrity judges in your wackiest attire to compete for great cash prizes! $300 to the winning team and the team’s name on the Tybee Polar Plunge trophy! Last year, we had two dozen crazy gangs in the goofiest costume parade yet!

Who is going to top last year’s Gang of Goofs winners, The Tybee Plungers?
