The Coastal Arts Fair will take place September 26, 2015 at Memorial Park, centrally located on Butler Avenue, on Tybee Island, GA from 10:00 AM-6:00 PM.

Founded by Tybee Arts Association, and supported by the Tybee Island Main Street Program, Coastal Arts Festival is a fine arts festival and is free for all visitors. The fair is sponsored by the Tybee Arts Association (TAA), a Tybee area non-profit that focuses on developing and sustaining an interest, appreciation and enjoyment of the arts on and around Tybee Island, GA. TAA also hosts a variety local art shows and sales throughout the year.

“Tybee is excited to be hosting the Coastal Arts Fair this fall. Our community embraces the arts in many ways and is pleased that the organizers of this year’s Fair chose Tybee as the venue for their wonderful event,” says Jason Buelterman, Mayor of Tybee Island. After a more than a few years respite, community members repeatedly voiced how much they missed “Arts in the Park.” In the last few years, Tybee Arts Association has grown to a point that it is able to tackle a larger event. The Board of Directors saw this as an opportunity to further its mission, which involves sponsoring art activities on Tybee Island, while providing wholesome family fun for those who live

The opening reception for the Coastal Arts Fair is a “Sneak Preview” Cocktail Party/Fundraiser from 7PM-9PM on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Tybee Arts Association, #7 Cedarwood Dr, Tybee Island.   The Coastal Arts Fair commences on September 26, 2015 at Memorial Park, located on Butler Avenue, Tybee Island, between the YMCA and City Hall. The event runs from 10AM-6PM and entrance is free.

Event Coordinators are anticipating more than 40 vendors from throughout the Southeastern United States. These vendors will be participating members of arts associations and art guilds, much like Tybee Arts Association. “There are organized groups who work together, supporting art growth and development in their communities, all over the world,” says Marianne Bramble, President of Tybee Arts Association. She continues, “We wanted to offer those artists and groups in Georgia, Florida and SC, especially those who focus on coastal art, another opportunity to display and sell their creations.”
